Although the Nexus 4 has only been available for purchase for about 8 hours total in the last two months due to going sold out, the XDA devs say the sales figures may not be as impressive as expected. The community used serial numbers on the devices to figure out when and where their phones were produced, also giving an estimate on how many were sold, to date. Sheesh LG thought that people would rather have the Optimus G and sign a 2 year contract. Haha.

Some android sites give this phone so much love... all I see is a phone with no sd card support, no removable battery (I think?) and the brand name. I still like android, but the truly great devices are few and far between these days. The screen resolution war is ruining all the other cool features.

Well considering this phone is worth twice the listing price and it is the latest Android phone from the Google's Nexus flagship, LG is not going to make an overstock storage facility of these phones. All of the unsold Nexus 4 phones would have to be sold at a lower price to finish off the supply.

And that is exactly what it is: Supply & Demand

The sales are low, the supply is low but then try to calculate the demand. LG is just trolling us.
