hi

I want to back up my movies. according to my knowledge ritek G04 are good(or ive been told so). well i need opinion of you guys.

which brand of dvd-r is good for movie backup for long period and is compatible with most of the stand alone dvd players?

If any of the admin is reading this post then i have a suggestion for you guys. it would be nice to see a permanent posting on the top of this section of the forum where there is a listing of good and bad media it will save a lot of people a lot of questions:)

There are excellent DVD media like TY (Taiyuo Yuden), and also very good (at least) like A grade original (not fakes) Ritek G04. (Not only these 2, but at least I dont think that anyone can question the quality especially of the TY)

As for which media is bad or which are better compared to others, is something subjective in most of the cases... ;)
scarface.

I agree that it would be a good idea to have a sticky on the subject. Something like what the CD-R Media forum has would be nice.
