Swap Magic DVD 2.0 Loads but I dont get the "Insert Disc" Screen

I Know my swap magic disc works because i loaded a backup on a friends ps2. It loads the disc until the point where it says to insert the backup disc. It flashes "playstation 2" like on all ps2 games, but after that it just is a black screen. I can load everything else on my ps2 other than this game. I have a version 4 ps2. Please help if you have any suggestions.
