Ok, time for a debate on this subject because there is already a sort of half debate on it going on on a news story posted months ago!
Ill put forward my opinions on this first.
1. A child cannot consent to sex or having any photographs taken of them of a secual nature because the child would lack the mental capacity to give that consent.
Basically we see these 17 and 18 year old women who are pregnant because they made a mistake, they didn't fully understand the consequences of their actions, now if this is the case, can you imagine a child? Do you honestly think a child could consent to sex? Definately not!
2. Child Porn is exploitation of Children, no matter what context its put in or what catagories!
Everybody know's about Nudist resorts and Nudist ways of life! Now there are some Nudism Websites that advertise events and generally the naturist way if life. Why arent the Feds after these sites? Simply because this is like a culture and in a way a good way to bring up children as they will tend to be more mature on the subject! BUT, if someone gets a picture of a child off a website like this and spreads it accross P2P or Newsgroups with the description "Preteen Child Porn" or whatever, they are exploting the children in these photos because think aboiut it, if someone was really looking for pictures of nudism, and it said "Preteen Child Porn" why would they download it? They are exploiting the children in the photo, using it for a purpose that it was NOT created for!
3. The actions taken by Governments to crack down on Child Porn are right!
Yes they are overwhelmingly right IMHO. On that news thread, a user made a comment about child porn being legal until the late 70's, and also said it was causing a much less rate of children being molested! Now there is no way to justify child porn, not even that way. Thats basically saying, "we'll exploit their innocence to protect them", that makes no sense to me! As for the action taken on P2P I stand behind it too. P2P is a technology like the VCR. If someone had tapes of children performing or being involved in Sex Acts, its highly illegal and highly wrong. This is no different just because they are files and not tapes! It's using a technology to spread this material and the only way to put an end to it is to arrest those involved and destroy the files. Its the same with Newsgroups!
4. A website that promotes nudism art consisting mainly of kids, that has a userbase of people who use the material as Porn should be seen as a Child Porn Website.
I definately believe this. Some sites are masking what their main purpose is and thats to supply photo's of children naked to people who are misusing them to make a profit. I can understand the nudism way of life but what I don't understand is why these sites would only stick to kids in the first place! Isnt there Adult's who visit nudist resorts and participate in the life-style too? I think there needs to be law changes here to outlaw these sort of website's.
Well thats all I'll say for now, if anyone wants to argue with any comment I made, please feel free, thats what a debate is about!

i completely agree with all your points dela, anyone caught involved in any part of that kind of activity should be taken down the road and shot, whether its maintaining a site like that, going onto a site like that - or even not reporting a site or activities like that, children are so innocent and they depend on us to take care of them - instead a lot of sick people are abusing that trust - if children are going to grow up not trusting people because of such acts, what does that say about our future..
hopefully some time in the near future there will be a method of either stopping this occuring or wiping it out completely - but for now, i guess we can only trust people, and hope they do not abuse that trust.
people like that should be killed.. plain and simple

A 500 round brick of .22 rimfire costs $12 and a decent .22 pistol goes for $250 so any subhuman worthless sack of shit that has anything to do with child porn can be popped right behind the ear then throw the body to the hogs.
A very simple and cost effective solution to ridding society of those that have no business being alive.

so we're talking 1 500 round brisk per person right? i know the .22 will enter the skull and just rattle around in there and make scrambled eggs out of the brain, but come on, there's more body parts to make into swiss cheese, i'm not even sure if 500 would be enough to make me happy. now that i think about it, i aint wasting my ammo on these sick bastards, as a father of 3 girls i'd much rather just deal with the problem with a nice dull kitchen knife and some grain alcohol.

All agreed, i'm a dad myself, it's not as if you can 'accidentally' access CP sites, the whole credit card booking scenario makes it a pre-meditated act. I wouldn't mind what weapon i used, as long as it caused as much pain as possible.

It's time to get especially creative for pedophiles.
I think a good start would be to pry off the finger/toe nails with a flat bladed screwdriver. If they pass out a good zap with a stripped lamp cord should get them moving.
Now we take a pneumatic 16 guage brad nailer and start popping brads into the major bone structure up and down the arms, legs , jaw (not the teeth, that's later), and hip bone. Lamp cord if/when needed.
Bolt cutters and a propane torch are next for removing all digits and then cauterizing them so he doesn't bleed to death. Lamp cord if/when needed.
Jellied gas on the groin is next. Apply, light and let it burn his you-know-what-off. Lamp cord if/when needed.
A cold chisel and hammer will take care of the teeth.
An electric drill for drilling holes through the feet.
A sledghammer for removing the hands and busting up the legs.
Big pliers to twist the nose and ears off.
Then finish up by cutting his arms off and beating him to death with them.
How many people would be so quick to indulge in child porn if these methods were implemented?
Unforutunately, in this case, our essential Constitutional rights prevent us from giving these degenerates what they truly deserve.

very much agreed!! I think the parents of the child should get an hour alone with the bastards. and if it's the parents that do it to their own kids, well they should just be shot if found guilty. no jail, no deathrow, no nothing, just have the court baliff drag them out back and wax the creeps.

I have to agree with all the above posts but torture is not the way to bring theses ppl to justice.
Bare with me on this as a relative to a victim I have given this quite a bit of thought and this I feel is a fairly good solution.
Firstly these animals have quite a bit to answer for in regard with todays society with the majority of inmates in prizons today being abused or raped at some stage in their life. This is no excuse for their criminal behaviour but maybe just maybe they wouldnt have taken that path had the sick bastards not been able to get their hands on them.
Secondly most of these scum are re-offenders so if they had of been dealt with appropiately the first time then it would of saved a lot of kids heart ache and mental problems later in life.
Going by this theory these poor excuses for humans have taken a hell of a lot from society and it is only fair that they be made to repay this debt in full and with interest.
Now another problem with the world today is the severe lack of organ and tissue donations. There are thousands of men, women and children out there waiting for a new heart, lung or kidney so they can have that second shot at life with their friends and families. in my experirnce these ppl are the ones that deserve to live.
So 1 + 1 = 2. Problem and a solution. maybe even have the operating theartre just that. A "theatre". The victim and family can go along to watch as the neighbourhood peadophile is dismembered and broken up for spare parts. The shortage of organs would decrease rapidly and be under control at no time at which point bodies could be donated to science and body farms.

hell yeah deeman - i got 3 girls, the twins are 4 and the oldest is 9. I hope i never have to deal with a situation like that. I would easliy rip the person into little peices with my bare hands, but I'm afraid that wouldn't be enough and everyone within a 2 mile radius would also become of pointless victim of my anger. yes i know thats not realistic, but having 3 girls has turned me into a very protective father, especially in todays world. I could see me taking out a whole city block to get to one sick fucker if i had too.

I don't have any kids that I'm aware of but just the concept that some pervert will, without an afterthought, absolutely and completely destroy a child for the rest of his/her life just to get off sickens and angers me to the core.
When and if I'm ever blessed with a child, God help anyone who even looks at my child wrong.

There are so many predators in every situation, on the net and in society, you get some sick pervert wacking him self off in front of the computer and then goes out to a mall or even in front a school and see's these 15 to 16 year old girls who are trying to glamories the super stars wearing next to nothing. Its simply amzing these parent's let them walk out like this in any country.
I know in Phoenix it's hot but to dress in really little thing's to beat the heat is NOT worth being rapped or sexually assaulted.
As some people say "If you got it then flaunt it" true to a certain point, (I got it, but I flaunt it in a Woman way, not a whore way) girls that are way too developed for their age need to know their action's and what their body signals can send to the "Bad guy's" if they don't learn this then they will be another victim on t.v. telling them I don't know this happend to me.
Sure every girl want's to be pretty but how far are we willing to go to be noticed by guy's?...wearing next to nothing at a young age.

This is so absolutely true. I'm reminded of this every time I go out.
Being a typical guy, when I pick up on little shorts and a teeny shirt in my peripheral vision naturally I look, but way too often I end up looking at a 12 or 14 year old girl and then I feel like a friggin pervert for looking. I've seen these youngsters wearing shorts so short that the bottoms of their butt cheeks are peeking out. It's shame that these girls feel the need to emulate the whores on TV and a disgrace that "parents" let their girls do so.
It truly saddens me to see young girls dressing so provacatively and the sad truth is that if you look like a whore, you're going to get treated like a whore. Otherwise intelligent girls are going to get threated like a dumb slut because of the way they dress.
These girls need to be taught that by developing their self-esteem and confidence they can be infinitely more attractive in a genuine way. Dressing like a skag is just a cheap shortcut to the kind of attention that is nothing but bad news.
To my eye the 50's style of dress and hair were a godsend. Women back then wore beautiful dresses that accentuated a woman's curves (maybe a bit of cleavage, but that a good thing!) and they had killer hairstyles to go with it. Take Barabara Stanwyck in the movie "Double Indemnity" (1944). Every time I watch that movie and see her I melt into a puddle. What an absolutely gorgeous woman. She does so much more for me than Britney or that Aguilera broad dressing like tramps.
Worthless parents who don't teach their daughters to be better than that certainly exacerbate the pedophile problem.
