R.I.P Symbian

article published on 24 January, 2013

It's been unofficially dead since a couple of years ago, which was Nokia's worst move ever, IMHO, because at that point it was really getting somewhere.

Anyway, I still love my Sony Satio. Over 3 years old and not a single issue with it (well, once jailbroken, of course). And it got crashed into the floor so many times due to my clumsy fingers. I still don't know which one I'll choose as my next device, but I'm not in a hurry to replace it yet. It still fills my personal needs.

Microsoft is still pushing crap w/ well under 10% market share that doesn't seem to be going anywhere, but I guess they have tons of $$$ to do it...like the tons of $$$ they gave to Nokia to support THEIR OS.

MS will just push and push and force people to buy their stuff.

When that doesn't happen you just buy your market share buy buying out companies that people do buy their stuff from and then you enforce the MS stuff onto people then.

Bit like Skype MS have now altered it so you need to connect with your hotmail.live accounts now, and your old account can be used but you need to relog in and reset it up again.
