All I do is capture video. Will the 128 bit vs 256 bit make a difference, or is that stuff just for the gaming end? I've been knocking myself in the head trying to figure out which card to get. I've had two ATI AIW cards, and have an 8500AIW 128MB card now. Thanks very much.

the 128bit and 256bit designation denotes the memory interface between the card's main GPU and the card's memory. this interface is used only to enhance the video output not the input. capturing video input uses a different chip on the card and performance is based more on your computer's memory interface rather then the card's. both of the cards you want would probably capture the same quality. so go with the one that is cheeper and use the money to add more RAM to your computer.

Those All In Wonder 9800 Cards are Very expensive and if you are just doing video Capture who don"t you Buy a High Quality capture device???

All In Wonder cards aren"t Bad as I have owned 3 different ones But they definately are not Professinal Quality Capture devices and if Capture Quality is your Main concern then you should spend half the Money you would spend on an AIW card and get something like a "Canopus ACEDVio" or an "Canopus ADVC-100" as they are allmost Half the Price as an AIW 9800 Pro but Produce Much Higher Quality Captures Plus these Cards use a Hardware DV Encoder Chip so there is No strain on your PC while captureing...

You can Get a Canopus ACEDVio for as Low as $169 and a
Canopus ADVC-100 for about $250.....Cheers
