Microsoft is to start pushing its Windows Live Messenger users to its Skype service starting on April 8, 2013.
It had already announced plans to bring Windows Live Messenger and Skype together in November last year, and Microsoft accounts can already be used to login to Skype and have contacts transferred Messenger, Hotmail and Outlook.

I understand why they want to unify both services in a single one, but most of that features listed here were actually available in the latest version of Live Messenger.
The only thing I wonder is if they will give the ability of merging their accounts to those huge part of their userbase who is in both platforms already. I guess they won't. :/
