I just bought an Archos AV320 recorder, and I wonder if ther is anybody that can help me, so I can convert DVD's or Any Video File, for that matter, to the DivX that my Archos will recognize. The Manual is very confusing and I don't undertand how to do it. Is anybody out ther familiar with this? I will greatly appreciate your help.

I think you can record the DVDs from your DVD player straight through your Archos using the included video recorder. But if you want to download to your Archos from the computer, then do the following. You will need rip the DVD to your harddrive and then convert it to a format the Archos will recognize.

First, I would recommend downloading DVD Decrypter the rip your DVDs. It is by far the best ripper out there and it is free. You can download it here:

You don't need to go to the next page of the guide because you won't be burning the DVDs to a DVD-R.

Next, you need to convert the DVDs to a format the Archos understands. For this, I would use AutoGK. It is designed for beginners so it should be pretty easy to use. You can download it here:

Now, all you need to do is transfer that file to your Archos and you're done!
