Barnes & Noble, in an effort to boost sales of their flagship tablet, will offer a free Nook Simple Touch e-reader with purchases of the NOOK HD+. From March 24th until March 31st, the $79 e-reader will be added to purchases made online and in-store. bought it and am now bringing it back. what good is a great looking tablet if there is only a quarter of the apps that are available on google play? Won't install apps outside of the nook app store (big brother much?). I was going to use it with my son as a reward system, like they do at school. Many of those games are unavailable here (granted they use an IPAD) but still NOOK should offer the best apps for kids with special needs. I am going to look into the nexus 7 or kindle fire, but may end up with an IPAD. Heard great things about the Kindle, and the Amazon app store is decent. I have a Pandigital Tablet I love, but it's power is ridiculously slow, so will have to upgrade if my son or I will be able to use a tablet for more than videos, ebooks, card games and angry birds.
