Activision Blizzard has revealed that 1.3 million World of Warcraft subscribers have dumped the game in the past three months. That drop represents about 14 percent of all WoW users, and is made up mostly of players located in the East where the publisher has made considerable efforts to get and retain players. doesn't surprise me considering in canada they dont pay for wow they just use free hacker servers and most people are going to free to play alternatives like perfect world where there one account access multiple online games and the latest free to play games like second life the adult simulator

I bet most people in Canada still play WoW legit, and most people who would have dropped WoW, wouldn't do it to stay on a hacked server, especially if you couldn't transfer your character over.

If anything they are losing subscribers based on: the game is freaking OLD, it's more than lasted longer than it should have and now there is competition in abundance, especially in the free to play category. I dropped WoW to play TOR, then dropped TOR to play Neverwinter. I not saying that is everyone cause for quitting, but we have no idea the #s of subscribers that dropped from any one country, so speculating to losing them hacked servers is just speculation, and very unlikely at that.

I quit simply because I don't find it to be with the cost anymore.

It is lacking behind free to play games which are far better and run better, my favorite wow replacement is champions online(pve game) and league of legends(pvp game).

Servers in wow are deserted , even high pop servers seem to feel more like med pop servers now.

Pvp is filled with bots now and reporting them does not work(tried bot software myself and no ban).

Cant get end game content because guild raid times done fit social life, try getting 10-20 people all online at the same time(imposable).

Its getting boring and repetitive as well, and very buggy in quest over the last year.
