Battlefield 3 servers hit by DDoS

article published on 9 May, 2013

EA has blamed a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack on its servers for connection issues experienced by Battlefield 3 gamers yesterday. The publisher used its Twitter account to explain the situation to frustrated Battlefield players. "The current BF3 and Battelog outages are a result of activity that appears to be aimed at overwhelming our game servers," it said. "Thank you ... [ read the full article ]

Dear EA,

Quit pissing off the gamers by your crappy business practices and your need to take every last cent out of the gamers that do buy your games and then they would not attack your servers.

Sincerely,

A frustrated gamer that will not buy an EA product again until they change their ways.

This game was definitely kick ass on the 360 until the day they implemented the rent a server feature. My issue isn't so much the sucker spending money on renting but Dice purposely sabotaging the official servers basically forcing you to play on the suckers server where they can kick you for doing too good or them adjusting ticket counter to make 1 match 3 hours long!!!!

No time for Leap frog!!!

I find it funny when the crap flows the other way! This is what they get for asking a customer to load a rootkit like what I call "No-Origin" on to your system yet can't even protect themselves much less the customers they hack. The nerve of selling a game then requiring you to log on THEN requiring an access key and the disc to play single person on your own computer. This is the kind of crap that has me avoiding EA games. I'm happy I don't have to put up with this socialist garbage on older EA titles. Bought BF3 not realizing the online B.S. until I got home and had to return it. Lucky I had not opened their precious wrapper! The above comments are my own opinions.
