Google has decided to pool the free storage you get with Gmail, Google Drive and Google+ Photos, amounting to 15GB you can use for anything. The change makes perfect sense as Google seeks to make all of its services work seamlessly together; inserting Drive files into e-mails or sharing a photo from Drive on Google+, and so on.
