I just ordered a prolink pci capture/tv tuner card, and I was wondering if I have a coaxial input from the wall, will I still have to have a seperate input for the audio portion?

coax carries both audio and video signals, if your tv card does not support the audio then get yourself a new card...

The card has an audio in port, does that mean it will process the audio in from the coax cable?

well i might just be misunderstanding what you are trying to get at here, but all i am saying is that coaxial cable from a wall outlet is carring both audio and video signals. pluging it into your TV capture card is just like pluging it into an actual TV. you don't need a separate audio port if you are using coax. this other port is for pluging in something from another source, like a VCR or a camera.

That's exactly what I needed to know. I have a capture card/tv tuner in the mail right now. I have read where some people have had to plug in their audio into their sound card because of no line in on their capture card. Thanks turkey!
