Seems when I am streaming games lights and shadows in almost any game are a bit messed up.
In Zelda Wind waker I can see the light from lanterns on the pirate ship through walls and floors. During the fortress level it's damn near impossible to get through without getting spotted as I can't tell if the spot lights are on me or are just going through the walls.
On Billy hatcher, billy's shadows climd the walls as if he where floating on air.
On Mario Cart DD the shadows of animated objects on the side of course can be seen through walls and hills.
I have not been able to fully test all this, but I am loading a valid copy of Wind Waker tomorrow to see if I have the same lighting/shadow issues.
I just want to know of anyone has expierienced this or is my GC busted??
That sounds very weird. There's a couple shadow glitches like you speak of on Wind Waker (played from original disc). But nothing as intense as what you speak of.
I've almost completed Billy Hatcher thru s3-acl 1.4b, and haven't seen anything like you've reported thus far.
I have tried different loaders.
I am trying the legitimate games later tomorrow, hopefully it's not a problem with my game cube ($40 purchase at a flea market ;) )
I had this happen on Wind Waker once before. It happends when a packet is dropped sometime during the loading of the game becuase it affected it from the beging to the end. It only happend to me once though.

I noticed this really bad in mkdd. I ripped the game myself, so I know it's a good copy. It doesn't make much sense. Its as if all of the shadows go through everything. The shadow of the blimp in the first race stood out the most. Its almost as if the shadows are going through the ground too and just go straight down, but you can still see them. It's kinda hard to explain. I just don't see how that could be a streaming issue.
