European Commission Vice President Viviane Reding has made it clear that national security does not provide states with an 'anything goes' right to spy on citizens. US politicians don't care, you are wasting your breath here: instead you have to hit em where it hurts, the same trade sanctions the UN imposes on North Korea would be a good start. (this is not me approving of North Korea actions btw, but US using the NSA as a tool to spy on anyone and everyone is severely misuse of power which in my opinion should be treated with the utmost prioritized attention and dealt with swiftly: even if it means ending free-trade agreements.
