I just installed a sony dru-700a. It burns my video just fine on vcd and even burns music just fine, but when i try to burn dvd videos, the program just dissappears. I tryed using both nero ultra 6 and roxio media creator 7, both do the same thing. I tryed mutliple videos burning with no luck. I whipped out both programs reinstalled updated, nothing. I updated the firmware to the latest., nothing. I wok as a computer technicain and i am out of ideas. Could anyone swing some things my way? Oh yeah would the lack of a region code in the drives settings on the computer make a difference, I just thought of that here when i was typing? Is something wrong with xp and these burning programs or what could be a cuase?

If you have either DTD in Roxio, or InCD in Nero installed, uninstall them. Packet writing software MANY times, is a problem.

Also, post your computer specs.

Ok when i reinstalled Nero i left out inCD 4 off last time, but i did however install the dtd on roxio. I can try to uninstall that. I will try that tomrrow afternoon. So if you have any other ideas I would gladly like to hear them. It is simply weird that the program just disappears like i never was burning. And that vcd's come out just fine.
