Is Ricoh DVD+RW or DVD-R media good? My tdk dvd+rw media is made by Ricoh but it sucks butt. I'm wondering if Ricoh is a good media maker. thanks

mindgod, Welcome to AD a great place for the curious


Ricoh is just fine media, in fact recommended by many a knowledgeable member.

That being said, when you start a thread you are hpefully starting a quest that will become an archive of questions and answers that will be read by others. When you sublimate a thread to a single question that can only provide a single answer it helps few if anyone beyond the asker. No big deal, we've all been there.

IF Ricoh is a good and recommended media, then why do my TDK DVD+RW's work horribly. I get illegal disc messages and power caliberation messages. BEcause Ricoh makes the TDK discs. That's really my question.
