Been considering the Matrix Infinity but i was wondering if its worth the extra dough for all the features. Will many new games (in your opinion)stop working with more generic chips in the future where flash would be nice? Don't worry about it? I want to play it all DVDs/games with nothing to worry about and would prefer not to upgrade entire chip! Haven't chipped a console since my ol' psx so i would appreciate any help deciding!

Although there has not been any changes to games themselves to make them not work with modchips, firmware upgrades have proven usefull. Especially for the DMS3 chip whice has really evolved through its upgradeability. The chip is FAR more functional than it was originally. Its basic functions have not changed, the firmware has just added more abilities such as loading apps to the mem card and such. NTSC to PAL auto-patching is another. There have not been a lot with the matrix because it is a new chip and has benifited from the DMS teams trailblazing. I don't think it is a necessity but it sure does come in handy!!
