How do i open my ports if i dont have a router. I have a linksys router around but we didnt need it after we found out we had wireless networking, so my ip runs straight from my dsl box (2wire). I tried to follow the linksys guide anyway and my ip addy doesnt send me to anywhere, says it cannot open. If im asking a stupid question then someone plz explain it to me plz. PLZ SOMEONE EXPLAIN TO ME! step by step plz! :) THANKS

Im guessing you have a hub in one room that your computer wirelessly connects to - the hub will probably be your router, there will be some way to access the config for that router which will have a section to allow you to forward your ports.

find out who the maker of your hub is then search for it online or consult your users manual and it will tell you the site to goto to adjust settings. After you get that the shit is simple. But if you have WINXP it has its own firewall and you have to allow the ports for xp as well. So if you cant figure your hub ports out try to do the XP one at least and you will have some results. I know im not much help but thats what i did. :) good luck

ok man look find the company that made your hub then fsearch for the model number on there site or look for hub sites one of them will inevitably have your hub listed then find the port forewarding options if nothing else call them and ask them on phone im sure they have a 800 toll free number no doubt!!!
