During construction of the new Apple flagship store in Madrid, Spain, workers discovered 15th century ruins belonging to an old hospital. The workers came across the ancient hospital while digging out the area for the store's basement. Buen Suceso hospital, as it was called, was demolished in the 1850s to make room for more buildings. What do Apple stores need with basements? Is it the place where they detain those who want to break free of a closed eco-system?
