You don't mention if this CD is one that you've recorded say a TV show on or not. If it is - did you finalize the CD? I know after I burned my first one it would play in the orginal JVC DVD recorder attached to my TV but when I attempted to view it any where else it couldn't display anything - including when I attempted to look at it on the computer. Then I realized that you have to finalize the disc using the recorder before it will be recognized by other systems.

Hope this helps.
