Despite struggles to get new, relevant devices to the public, BlackBerry has laid off 250 employees from its "New Product Testing" division, one of their research and development (R&D) groups. Well..........I imagine that the "Next stage of their turnaround" will be to liquidate and sell off every asset and close shop.

I'm sad this is happening.....just not surprised. BB hasn't been a game-changer in a decade. Good riddance to bad corporate rubbish and my prayers are with those about to lose their jobs.

This may be a good thing. Sometimes you have to get rid of dead weight in order to move forward. It is sad that they will lose their jobs, but it's clear BB needs an infusion of new ideas and they are not getting that with the current staff. A prime example of becoming complacent. I bought a BB Z10 and I love it.
