Cyperhome compatability problem

I've only used my Cyberhome DVR 1500 a few times. Yesterday, I tried playing a disc I copied from the TV on my van DVD player and it wouldn't work, I also tried in on my portable DVD player with the same results. However, the disc will work on other home DVD players. Is there a fix for this? I've tried downloading the firmware updates from the Cyberhome web site but I keep getting a message saying the website is down. Any help is greatly apprecaited.
