Following the recent trend started by many retailers and Apple, Wal-Mart has started their own smartphone trade-in program. The program will launch on September 21st at 3600 Wal-mart stores and additionally in 500 Sam's Clubs. Seems like just like with cars, it is still worth more to just sell it in most cases. Swappa is a good site for that. My Galaxy S3 was selling for $300 up until S4 release, so the iPhone5 should be more than $300 in mint condition.
