Microsoft has revealed the pricing scheme for Windows 8.1, which is set for release on October 18th. If you have Windows 8 installed, 8.1 is a free update via the Windows Store. If I have to re-install all of my apps why wouldn't I just do a clean install from the getgo? Windows Note, it's free because no one wants its. Of course 8.1 would be free to 8 users it's really only SP1 essentially. The only nice thing about this is possibly running 8 on a second hard drive.
