Sources: Samsung to soon unveil Galaxy F premium devices

article published on 29 September, 2013

Samsung is rumored to be working on Galaxy F devices, moving away from the cheap looking plastic look of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line and moving towards more 'premium' designs. The new devices will include high-end metal designs, and will be smaller than the Note in size, say the sources. Outside of the metal design, the phones are also said to have "top-of-the-line internals." ... [ read the full article ]

Yup, great move. I skipped purchasing the S4 after having a chance to hold it in my hand. I think the heavy duty version (released later) probably would have been fine for me though.

yes and no. metal will increase the price quite a lot, 6" w/ metal can cost...O_o!!! in addition, it may create a signal issue. gotta see.
IMO, one reason why apple is not so willing to come up with a 5-6" is the terribly increased price (iphone is already expensive).

steel prices are going up all the time, in September it will have gone up another 12% upon the last increase back in june.

While metal can be good I would still want removable batteries etc if it doesn't have that then I'm not sure if I'd buy a new samsung.

I've held off the S4 because here it's a snapdragon only and 16 gig is the std size for all the carriers.

If they had the 8core CPu and the 128gig phone I'd see about buying it but even then I'm still not sure as the sound chips used in Samsung phones are f***ing crap at best, that's the only bad thing I can currently come up with about the samsung phones.

HA.........I just said the same thing on another post about ditching my cell service until phones get badass with specs like you just mentioned.

As for metal........HTC deals in metal people.....REMOVABLE BATTERIES, NO SIGNAL ISSUES, LIGHTWEIGHT STILL, etc. so everyone should CHILL
