Hi all, i've been burning vcds and svcds with no problems at all. but now i'm trying to burn onto dvd disks and am having major grief. i've encoded a mpeg or avi into dvd using tmpgenc, but i can't burn to a dvd disk. i have a toshiba sd-r5112. i have -r dvd disks

what you have after using TMPGEnc encoder is mpegs.You need to use a dvd authoring program like dvd lab, or TMPGEnc dvd author,to turn your mpegs into vob files that you can burn.

Ok. i used TMPGEnc author and i got the video_ts files, the .bup files and the vts files, 9 in all. i drag and drop to the video_ts folder on Nero dvd-video which is ok. but as soon as i click on burn, my dvd tray opens and Nero says i have no disk in the tray. i'm using dvd-r disks with a toshiba sd-r5112 writer.
