Is there any way to play dvd rips (cd backups), using swap magic dvd? my cd version does not seem to work, i get disc read error, i thought it was a faulty disc but i tried in a v9 ps2 and it works(also have tried in another v5/v6 and i got disc read error) . Any solutions for this?

Unfortunately, it looks like you may have to invest in another Swap Magic CD. The DVD disc of SM is designed to boot only DVD's. That's the whole reason behind the two discs. One's for booting CDR backup discs, and one is for booting DVD backup discs.
