why won't Swap Magic load Region 2 DVDs?

I tried loading up an original Region 2, Japanese DVD (it was the Resident Evil 'Wesker's Report' DVD) only to have Swap Magic (DVD version 2.0) give me a load error (pink border). WTF? If it loads original Japanese import DVD games, why won't it load original Japanese import DVD movies?

And if I can't load them, is there any way I can condense the DVD through my computer and burn it onto a normal CDR? And would I need to change my computer DVD ROM's region setting?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

swap magic wont load movies period. It is a data dvd and movies are video dvds.

Alright, well that explains it. I guess my next question is, is there some sort of region-free DVD movie loader out there for the PS2?

look for a hacked version of gameshark 2 it has dvd region x built in and loads dvd backups and all region dvds.
