Swap Magic/ Flip-Top for V7 PS2

I just bought a V7 off ebay, so far my options for playing backups is modding or just applying a swap method. I'm not really comfortable with soldering anything, so I decided to go with a flip top/ boot disk method. I did search through the forums, and found that generally a lot of people are happy with this solution. I could not find what versions of PS2 they have, but I found that one user on these forums absolutely had a bad experience with the V7 and swap magic combo. I was wondering if some others with this setup can assure his findings, or have found success. Thanks.

swap magic and flip top will work for you (if not your doing something wrong). you just need to be able to use cd loader for the games listed here: http://www.swapmagicfix.com
