Microsoft has confirmed that the Xbox One console will not play 3D Blu-ray movies at launch.
The Xbox One console of course packs a Blu-ray disc drive, but for those of you who have a 3D TV at home and enjoy the experience, don't expect to play your 3D movies on the Xbox One, at least for now.

4K gaming exists today on the PC, I think it will be a disappointment when consoles are missing out on it in 5 years when it will probably be mainstream on PC.
I won't be an early buyer this generation, should be interesting to see how steambox compares to the consoles in 2-3 years.
Nope. Gimmicky. The only thing I thought was interesting about 3D gaming was the idea of using the 3D glasses to allow 2 people to play on the same TV w/ 2 separate views. And by the way, I TOLD YOU SO! ;-)
3D is on its way out the door...4k may catch on in 5 years from now, which will mean new consoles will probably already be in development. No support for either at this stage isn't a deal-breaker for me.

3D will remain but will be reinvented. Glasses free 3D sets are dropping in price and I think Samsung or LG will be the first off the starting block with mass production of these new sets.
