Alright, I don't know where the answer is, I've looked and searched but there is so much stuff here I can't find what I'm looking for, and since it pertains to one of the guides on this website, I'm sure there is someone here who can help me out.

I followed the guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm which I used to convert my Xvid copy of Dawn of the Dead(2004), to an Mpeg-2, split it into two files(video and audio) with TMPGEnc, and then converted it with IFOEdit into one directory, which filled up with 8 files of 3 different types (.VOB, .IFO, .BUP). Now, this file says it is 3.98 GB.

Then, at the end of that guide, it told me to go to use this guide http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/burning_dvd_with_nero.cfm which I did. Now, it must have been written before that version because some of the descriptions of the menus are wrong (like when it says to select DVD from the drop down menu, then select DVD video from the list, it is not on there. Instead it is miniDVD that you select) but I figured that one out myself. Now, I went to put all of these files (.VOB's, ect) into this VIDEO_TS folder on the burning screen, which I did, when I noticed that it said the files went over the limit (on the little coloured bar on the bottom). Now, I went ahead anyways thinking that it was just saying that and to ignore it, since the guide didn't really explain that part at all. However, I just went to burn it and it said there wasn't enough room on the disk.

Now, my computer is brand new, P4 2.8Gigz, 512DDR RAM, 160GB harddrive, and it took almost 24 hours to decode and I am really hoping I didn't screw this up. I thought because my computer was relatively new that I could expect it to take less time that the 20 hours that was suggested on the guide, but it didn't. Anyways back to the point, I waited a long time and really want this to work, so if anyone has had this problem and knows that to do, please tell me.

Thanks in advance,
Jordan_

The Nero guide is correct.

What version of Nero do you have? Is it a OEM version that came with your computer?

If you had a full version you would be able to select the DVD list and DVD-Video. MiniDVD is in the CD list. A MiniDVD is a CD with a DVD-Video file stucture.
