except for one problem .....

You can firmware flash the phone and serial number to a completely new serial number and bypass your worthless system of garbage!!!!

Really? I always thought that the IMEI wasn't flashable. Am I wrong?

What I'd really like to know is if the phones can be delisted somehow if they're recovered later by their rightful owner. If not, yes, this service is quite crappy.
