HI, I HAD A MOD CHIP INSTALL ON MY PS2 AND IT WAS WORKING FINE ,BUT WHEN I TRY TO PLAY A DVD IT WOULDNT WORK. WHEN I PUT THE DVD IN I CLICK ON BROWSER AND WHEN I GO TO CLICK ON THE DVD IT SAYS PLAYSTATION 2 AT THE TOP. BEFORE IT WOULD SAY DVD VIDEO WHEN I WOULD PUT A MOVIE IN. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO GET IT TO PLAY MOVIES. IT PLAYS THE GAMES BUT NOT THE MOVIES.

Depends on whicy modchip you have. You have to put it into sleep mode. Messiah and Magic chips usually you hold the power button 5 seconds to do this. Note that Magic V chips on v9/10 PS2's use the Eject button instead of power/reset.
