I've been doing redaing on ripping and copying movies. My question is, that with all the burning/ripping software out there, what is the best one to get that provides ease of function, quality, and be able to get the entire movie with all the features to get? I've seen DVD X copy, clonerII, 1 click dvd, etc.... and here I've seen that all you need is DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. What is the best system to get/buy? I've been away for a while overseas and just got back in and I would really like to be able to copy movies for my next "trip" overseas. Thanks

Thanks, I've already downloaded those and now I am wondering what program is best to use to actually burn the ripped movie with. I have WinDVD Creator 2 that came with the computer. Is this adequate or should I get another software? I have been reading about DVD X Copy, DVD Cloner II, 1 Click DVD, etc...., Which is actually the best to use and do i need any of them?

Decrypter is all you need for Shrink to burn. Unless your using a pc with FAT32 file system, then you'll need Nero to burn.

Frankly I use only two utilities to burn DVD's. One is DVD decryptor and Clone DVD2. I have winxp with fat32 so I have to go to mode and then check file on my DVD decryptor program before decrypting. Afterwards I open clonedvd2>copydvd titles>title configuration (find my movie file). and thats it!!! I tell the program what i want to add. Wether it be to preserve the entire contents of the dvd or just a simple burn of the movie. I dont necessarily burn the entire movie because I have fastforward through the dvd just to get to the movie. All i do is pop the dvd in the player and it plays on its own. Hope this helped. cloneDVD2 sneak preview get it here...http://www.afterdawn.com/news/archive/4992.cfm try it for 30 days!!!

Thanks for the responses. I have already backed up afew copies and messed 2 of them. I have been using DVD Decryptor and ShrinkDVD 3.2. Both are great tools. But I am wondering if it is my machine doing the screwing up or the programs. I copy the movies as an ISO file with DVD Shrink and then burn with DVD Decryptor. As it goes through the process I have twice had errors that prevented the disc from finishing. I am running XP home media edition that has a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-811 drive. Is this the problem? I do not have an ASPI layer as I have been reading and don't know which ASPI needs to be loaded, that is if I need one. Is there a store/internet product that is pretty good against errors that can be bought? People that I have actually have spoken to have all said DVD X copy is the way to go. I have seen the platinum edition and then was told about the extreme edition that has Express on it. What is the best way to go?
