I have used this dvd2avi program once and it did very good job. Now I am unable to do another dvd the system keeps hanging, it never has gone beyond 40 min of the timestamp. This was happening with the other dvd2avi program I had that was a older ver.

My DVD2AVI is ver 1.77.3dg1.0.0RC2
It works like a charm :-)
Perhaps there is a problem with this particular source, at the specific point where it halts?
Otherwise your OS might be Haunted (that's a technical term) and you could be in codec Hell.
WTF you needed to reinstall nice fresh OS anyway.(LoL)
Seriously, once a year is a long time for some people's OS's (Praetor)
If it has been years for you, then good advice!

Thanks, the system is xp and has been only about 5 months but there have been lots of programs tried on it. I will try the other ver.
