I'm considering purchasing a flip top and Swap Magic DVD 2.0 CD 3.2 bundle. I've been looking through sites and can say that i'm confused as to whether or not SM will play imports. I remember readinng somewhere that it was for domestic games only but i could've sworn I saw somewhere else stating otherwise. Also, from what i gather, i have a v9 system (SCPH 50001/N) and it said on a website that...

NOTE: Swap Magic CD version disk will not work on version 9 or higher consoles (SCPH-50xxx)

but this one sells the bundle stating that the disc work on v9 and v10 models

So, what's the real deal? Am I missing something here or am i just an idiot when it comes to these things? (my vote's on the second one)

i use swap magic to boot ntsc/u and ntsc/j games on my v7 PAL ps2 and it works fine for me just make sure that your tv supports both the PAL and NTSC tv signal or you wil have to patch your games to get them to play correctly,also some members here have said they have had problems with the swap magic cd on v9/10 ps2 consoles but the dvd disc works fine, if you do have problems with swapmagic cd then you can use dvd loader to boot your cd based games
