Nero Vision Express says mpeg to big for DVD-R (have searched)

I have dl three seperate mpeg files (that were coverted from VCD) at 700mbs each and joined them together to form a complete movie using Super DVD Ripper and Joiner.

When I try burning this new file to a DVD using Nero Vision Express (Nero 6) it is 4.9GB and tells me that it is too large for the disk. I have dl'd Shrink but won't recognise the mpeg file I want to burn to DVD?
Any help much appreciated, Ive not used forums before so please bear with me :) I did search for previously posted Q's but didnt relate to the Mpeg just pre recorded DVD's.
