Leaked screenshots of the upcoming Windows 8.1 Update 1 seems to suggest the updated operating system will be available starting in March. One source claims that Microsoft is aiming for a March 11th release date, the date of its normal monthly security patches. I liked windows 8 better than 8.1

But that is just because it screwed up the resolution of a bunch of applications and I cannot find a solution. Temporary fixes for launchable programs exist but every time I run an installer it is fuzzy low resolution.

They'll supposedly have another update late this year that totally returns the regular Start menu and completely disables 'Metro' and other touch-based features on computers w/o a touchscreen.

I already have that...it is called Windows 7.

I like Windows 8.1 a little bit. START menu isn't bad at all. I just hate all the little "hidden" necessities.
