Massive mobile processor maker Qualcomm has acquired a portfolio of patents that has been jumping around for years including those once owned by defunct smartphone maker Palm. HP was the current owner of the patent portfolio, and the figure of the sale is undisclosed. I do remember the iPaq phones and PDAs sporting Windows CE operating systems. Those PDAs were the only ones that sported transflective colour displays and could be read clearly even in very bright outdoor sunlight. The phones had full sync with Outlook on the desktop. I can't wait for the day when they come out with a device integrating both of these technologies.

It could be the device to beat all !!!
