Microsoft renames its SkyDrive cloud service 'OneDrive'

Microsoft has announced that its SkyDrive cloud storage service is now named "OneDrive." The name change is official but the services will keep SkyDrive for a short transitional period. Microsoft says the service "will continue to operate as you expect and all of your content will be available on OneDrive and OneDrive for Business respectively as the new name is rolled out across the portfolio." ... [ read the full article ]

Yeah........and the Sears Tower was renamed to the ridonculous Willis Tower and Chicagoans NEVER say "Willis Tower"

"It took the Redmond giant over six months to come up with the new name and to begin the transition".

Would it have taken a much longer time if they had gone for the name Five Drive?
