What is the diffence between the 2 versions. and which is better? thanks for any help.

v4.0.3.8 is the newer version.

what does 4.0.3 do that 3.2.1 cant. And how do I know if it has the ripper or if its RF.

I don't know the changes, I guess I could try and find it. But for me v4.0.3.8 would backup some movies I couldn't do with v3.2.1

The last ripper version was v4.0.3.8 ... v4.0.4.15 is the ripper free. But RF is the only version which the browse button works, so you can burn movies (video_ts files) off your HD.

Finaly I`ve found an activating "patch" for DVDXCopy Platinum4.0.3.8 and it works. Tried it myself. I used a search tool from my PC so I do not know from which site the "patch" is from but I have it saved on my PC.

The newer versions from 321 Studios don't have the dvd ripper since they lost the court battle it was removed. Get an older version with the ripper, I use it and it works great.

There was only one newer version that doesn't have the ripper (v4.0.4.15RF). And that version is (IMO) better than previous versions. Partly because the browse button works on this version, and with http://321rip.tripod.com/ RF becomes a ripper again.
