Huawei has used the MWC event to unveil their anticipated wearable device, the TalkBand B1.
The TalkBand has a 1.4-inch flexible OLED display but notably also includes a removable earpiece that allows for wireless calling.

Huawei have a reputation with the American and Australian secret services for placing spyware for the Chinese government directly into the hardware itself! It's one of the reasons that Huawei are not permitted to have anything to do with the new National Broadband Network in Oz.
Huawei strongly denies this and the Chinese gov is very upset about it.
I myself don't know what to believe or who to trust as I consider the intelligence services are in the pockets of big business in the West. Not that I don't think the Chinese gov wouldn't stoop to spying but it's just as likely the US is telling the Aussies that to keep the Chinese from getting the business. And we pretty well do what the Yanks ask us. Look at how we are buying the shittiest fighter jets from them (still to be delivered 10 years on) that almost every expert says are gonna be utterly outclassed by the Chinese jets that everyone else is buying in the region. Still, if we didn't buy this military junk from the US would they bother to help us if we were invaded?
good point on the spyware part, I almost forgot all the thumb drives, Hotel Irons, ect.. I didn't realize this was one of the companies behind it. On the other hand I don't think they could be any worse than Google at this point and as per the company name I have yet to see any of their products make it to the States (at least i haven't noticed any.. Maybe a more reputable company will make a knock off.

I don't know if they ARE genuinely disreputable but they are MASSIVE. "It is the largest telecommunications equipment maker in the world, having overtaken Ericsson in 2012." You read right!
I've seen their mobiles in the shops. The ones that actually bear their label. Their presence on the consumer scene is set to explode from what I gather and they intend to take on Samsung head on.
