Kim Dotcom has announced the formal launch of his own political party in New Zealand: The Internet Party.
The new party is a "movement for the freedom of the internet and technology, for privacy and political reform."

We have mmp here (biggest mistake this country made a lot of those who voted for it now regret it..idiots),the party will require 5% of the vote at the General election later this year to be able to get into parliament;this will not be easy;the only way the party will make it in is through uni students voting as normally the younger ones don't bother voting;at the mo the .com party have no candidates put forward as far as i know.
Dot com will not be standing himself,they don't have any policies either other than rhetoric you see written in this news item which tells us nothing
Regarding faster internet here,unless a new isp with it's own lines comes into the market the two major telco's will have a monopoly for the foreseeable future,privatization was said to bring cheaper prices through more competition as you no doubt know yourselves that's a load of bullshit & has the opposite effect,same goes for our power companies,even more annoying all these were originally public owned before being sold by the Government
