Will.i.am, famous for his time with the Black Eyed Peas and more recently as a major producer and tech investor, has shown off a new smartwatch that does not need a separate phone to be useful. The project was unveiled on the Alan Carr show, and will.i.am himself funded and founded the project. It looks a lot nicer than the true smart-phone-watches I've seen in the past. Of course, a lot of the bulk of uglier watches like Exetech and Pine comes from the batteries...which generally are not big enough anyway.
