I need to chop a few minutes out of each of the .ogm video files I have; is there any software out there that will let me do that without taking several hours? Using TMPGEnc and VirtualDUB, I've got the bits I want taken out effectively removed, but when I go to save the edited file, it goes through some type of encoding. Surely, the entire video needn't be re-coded just to chop off the first few minutes?

I am using VDub MOD. The problem is that I don't want the program to re-encode the video. I just want to chop a peice out. The best thing I've done so far is use the direct stream option (instead of full processing) in VDub, which gets done in 2 minutes, but I still think its stupid for the program to have to do anything to the whole video if I just want to cut out the first minute and a half. So are there any programs that will just remove some video flat out, or is there a setting in VDub for it I don't see?

i think you missed something. :)

load the files, then under edit use the set selection start and end. or use short cut "home" and "end".

delete all the things that you don't want ( i usually delete, do try without deleting) make sure you select direct stream copy under video and save as avi/ogm/mkv w/e you want.
