Hi

Been using DVDdecrypter and DVDshrink (latest version with no trouble so far. However, with on of my DVDs, I backed up using the normal method using Verbatim +R


1) DVDdecrypter to get files
2) DVDshrink to reauthor
3) DVDdecrypter to burn


When I played the DVD it sort of pulsates - very strange - about every 1/2 second. Its very difficult to describe. The picture remains clear but for example, in a dark scene the picture will pulsate slightly lighter than normal.

Anyone had this experience?

I believe this syndrome may also go by the name of "pumping". It usually appears on DVD's suffering from high compression.

have you had this problem on many backups?

Hi

It seems to play OK on my normal DVD player - just "pumps" on my PC. The only error message that comes up on the PC is something about the reolutions being different. All other backups are OK.

Not to worry as I normally only watch DVDs on my standalone player.
