Hello,

I have searched the forums and learned how to burn the cue/bin files using alcohol 120% and nero 6. I have tried both softwares to no avail. I think maybe the bin file is corrupt but I dont know how to find this out. I have the error logs of both alcohol 120% and of nero 6, if they would help in any diagnostic, let me know and i'll post them.

Thank you

It can only be corrupt. Use CDMage and 'scan for corruption' the image. It happens, sometimes...or maybe the .CUE specifies the "C:\strange_directory\image.BIN" and not only "image.BIN" that, by default, makes Nero/Alcohol 120%/CDRWin search the .BIN in the same directory of the .CUE (then correct it with Notepad).
CDMage prevents to burn 'coasters' but the software could at least 'burn' it, without giving errors (what happened?). More, if you can 'mount' a correct image and scan it with Clony XXL you can detect its protection, if any (but some protection will need .SUB, .MDS formats, not simple .CUE/.BIN sets).

Hey aldaco12,

Thanks for the reply! I scanned the .bin file for errors as you suggested and CDMage found none. I then checked the .cue file for an incorrect path name; I found "image" instead of "image.BIN". I changed it retried the burning and again it failed. I even tried extracting the mpg file from the bin file using isobuster, then tried burning the mpg file (~800MB) using Nero and the same error occurred. Are there some sort of system requirements for burning an image? I also re-downloaded the image file and still same problem. I'll post the log file for Nero and alcohol to see if it helps.

I tried simulating the burn with a regular cd-r 80Min and it seemed to work. I am trying to burn the bin file to a cdrw 80Min and I think that is the problem. I have updated the firmware of my plexwriter 8/4/32 but nothing changes. Any suggestions? I'll try the plextor support forums also.
