how to trim MP4 mobile multimedia file (NEC e616 UMTS) ?

I have done a lot of research but didn´t find anything that has worked to trim .MP4 mobile multimedia clips (video AND audio) and upload them back to my NECe616 mobile.

Video type: MPEG-4 Simple @ L3

I can play my .MP4 clips with QuickTime Player.
Though I cannot cut them and upload back in a correct format.

FE Digital Media Workshop is really useful and has a 15day free trial. It supports SPLIT / TRIM MOVIE.. but only converts back to .MOV QuickPlayer format. It encodes to .MP4 format (but another video type: MPEG-4 Advanced Simple @ L3b) and .3GP format, which my NEC cannot read.

Packet Video´s PVAuthor, Pinnacle et.al. cannot even read the .MP4 files.

Anybody experiences or suggestions?
