Nintendo has displayed why it built NFC (near-field communications) chips into the Wii U controller by unveiling its new amiibo toys. One of the first games compatible with amiibo will be Super Smash Bros 4. By holding the toy to the Wii U gamepad information can be transferred between the two. actually I believe Skylanders had stolen the Idea from UB Funkeys, as profitable as that game is right now, no reason not to jump on board and make a quick profit. I personally could care less about the game I want the action figures :)
